See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

I don’t think I shared this here but this was my attempt at voicing Hunter’s panic attack at the end of Hollow Mind. I only did this because Hunter’s my favorite character in The Owl House and just to see if I could. It is but a cheap imitation but I think I did well with it regardless.

I dunno, man. I, for one, really like that Willow Park is a fat/stocky character (Especially a female character) that doesn’t get mistreated over said stockiness, her size isn’t the punchline for a crude joke and is seen as pretty and admirable to some.

*COUGHS* Hunter *COUGHS*

Fat people being the punchline for jokes was very common in cartoons that I grew up with so it’s nice to see a gradual shift in the cartoons I’m seeing the youth get to grow up with themselves. And sometimes, the best statement is no statement at all. Let it flow naturally and carry itself in a positive light. And The Owl House is a shining example of that. I welcome it with open arms. 🙂

(And before anyone says it, Willow *is* fat. Just because she works out doesn’t mean she can’t be fat. There are fat people who remain fat even while working out. How do I know this? I’m one of those people.)

The Owl House is not a "shining example" of positive, actually good fat representation because Willow is designed to only look "fat" when around all of the characters who are as thin as sticks. By herself, she does not look fat at all. She even has a flat stomach, and you KNOW she's half-assed fat representation because even you had to soften your claim by calling her "stocky" and her fatness "stockiness." The Owl House does an absolutely shitty job at fat representation by giving us crumbs and telling us to be grateful for it. Even Luz's mom, the only other "fat" character I know of in the show, is the exact same situation of only looking fat by proxy.

I do not praise crumbs anymore. Willow is such bad fat representation that the vast majority of fan art draws her skinny. It's a fucking treasure hunt to find art of Willow that actually draws her as fat, and that would not be as bad of a problem if the show didn't need a comparison to make her look bigger than average.

People don't debate Willow's fatness because she "works out." They debate her fatness because THIS–

–only looks fat next to this.

I made this months ago, dawg. My opinions have changed since then.
